Hello! My name is Alyssa Giovenco Lopez and I am a Newborn Care Specialist. Allow me to support you as your family grows!
My specialty and passion is working with newborns. I offer support for new moms (as well as 2nd, 3rd, 4th+ time moms!) and their families after the birth of a baby (or babies, as I specialize in twins). I help set the stage for the best possible transition into life with a new baby and promote a healthy mother-infant bond as well as optimal child development.
If you are bringing a new baby into a family with older siblings, I can provide techniques to help your older child adjust to life with a new sibling while helping parents spend quality time with each child.

I also specialize in twin care and can provide an extra set of hands to help with feeding, changing and soothing, so you can devote one-on-one attention to each of your babies. I have extensive experience caring for infant and toddler twins and can enhance your ability to care for your children and/or integrate a new baby into the family.
A little more about me: After studying and working in Santa Cruz for almost 10 years, I relocated with my husband to Truckee, near my home town of Lake Tahoe, to be closer to my family. I now serve primarily the Truckee and North Lake Tahoe area. I love living back in the mountains and enjoy spending time being active in our beautiful backyard. Some of my favorite activities include snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, hiking and backpacking.
Since living in Truckee, I have become the branch ambassador for a non-profit called Hike it Baby that provides a platform for families with young children to explore hiking in a supportive environment. I have been fortunate enough to work with families who support me taking their little ones out on the trails and I hope to continue this with nanny clients in the future. Getting outside, especially into the fresh mountain air, tends to be a sure way to change your baby’s mood (and yours too!).
